In the series Generation I explore gender and sexual identity as a social construct. This work consists of intimate sculptural forms that combine organic and manufactured materials with various objects to create a structure that resonates with domesticity, female culture, sexuality and the politics of gender. Individually, each piece suggests a body that is layered with an evocative aggregate of both personal and cultural attributes. Together these forms present an exploration of femininity, hybridity, and transgressive bodies.
